Aptika selected to supply the registration service for the 2009 MasterCard Memorial Cup

Donated by the Ontario Hockey Association in 1919 to honour Canada's fallen military, the Memorial Cup is the most prestigious trophy awarded by the Canadian Hockey League. The prestigious MasterCard Memorial Cup will take place from May 15 to May 22, 2009 in Rimouski, Quebec, and showcases the best teams from the CHL's three member leagues: the Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

As a major national sports series, more than nine million fans attended last season's CHL games in the regular season, playoffs and at the MasterCard Memorial Cup. The CHL supplies more players to the National Hockey League than any other league. More than 500 graduates attend Canadian universities on scholarships from CHL teams.

Since 1999, Aptika's Event Registration Division has offered a turnkey service that includes card design, loan of specialized equipment such as the IDpack software for ID-card production, onsite supervision and the required training.
