How to print Doubled-Sided with an Evolis Primacy 1 Duplex

The Evolis Primacy 1 Duplex is a great ID card printer, but by default, it is configured by the manufacturer as Simplex (single-sided). You need to open the Evolis Primacy 1 Printing Preferences and change it.

Steps to change the Duplex Mode on your Printer

1. First go to your Devices and Printers.

2. Right-click on the Evolis Primacy, and click Printing Preferences.

3. In the Printing Preferences look for theses options:

   Windows 10
   In the list, change Dual-side to On and then change the Duplex Mode for the type of printing you need.

   Windows 7
   Go down the list and change the Duplex Mode for the type of printing you need. Leave it to Simplex for single-sided printing.

   You have 4 or 5 choices for the Duplex Mode, make sure that you have the right ribbon inside the printer. The RFID chip inside your ribbon cartridge should tell your printer the Ribbon Type automatically except for monochrome ribbons (they do not have one).

   • Windows 7 - Simplex (single sided)
     YMCKO, print 200 cards or any Monochrome ribbon, print 2,000 cards
   
   
   • Duplex Color / Color
     YMCKO, print 150 cards with a 300 prints ribbon.
   
   
   • Duplex Color / Monochrome
     YMCKOK (Color/Black), print 200 cards BEST OPTION
   
   
   • Duplex Monochrome / Monochrome
     any Monochrome ribbon, print 2,000 cards
   
   
   • Duplex Monochrome / Color
     YMCKOK (Color/Black), print 200 cards

   Click OK and Voila!
